NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws, nephew dead after possible murder-suicide in Oklahoma

Jimmie Johnson’s in-laws and nephew are dead after a Monday shooting in Oklahoma, Fox 23 is reporting.

According to the report, Muskogee (Okla.) police said Terry Janway, 68, is suspected of shooting and killing her husband, Jack Janway, 69, and their 11-year-old grandson in what police said could have been a murder-suicide. Terry’s and Jack’s daughter, Chandra Janway, is the NASCAR’s driver’s wife, per the report.

A call was placed to 911 on Monday night to report a disturbance. When officers arrived, per Fox 23, a person was laying in the hallway inside the front door and gunshots were heard inside the house.

Two more people were found dead. Officials told TMZ all three died from gunshot wounds.

Jimmie Johnson’s team, Legacy Motor Club, announced he “elected to withdraw the No. 84 Carvana Chevrolet from this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series event in Chicago,” per TMZ.
